About Dink Metal

We are located in Southeastern Oklahoma and service virtually any area in the country with our nationwide shipping when installation can be completed by the consumer or with the help of a contractor. Locally, we cater to customers in the Dallas/Ft. Worth, Oklahoma City, Tulsa and surrounding areas. We have been in the handcrafted metal design business for over ten years with what started out as a hobby for one man creating metal work for his wife in their own home. Soon, their family and friends wanted the same look in their homes and thus Dink Metal was born. The name Dink Metal comes from the owner and lead designer, Dink Pingleton. Our family business has grown substantially since then and we hope to make our handcrafted metal designs a part of your family's home as well.

Dink Metal uses old fashioned blacksmith techniques combined with welding and artistic custom finishes providing you with a one of a kind piece for your home. We are very proud to say that we have been featured in the prestigious Dallas Parade of Homes where an iron bed and crosses from our collection were used in an award winning master suite.

An alternative to copper and stainless steel

Typically, range hoods and other design pieces are constructed from copper, stainless steel or bronze. These metals create gorgeous products. Unfortunately, they tend to be terribly expensive. We have found that using steel to construct the piece with processes like acid or powder coating for the finishes creates the same affect as copper, stainless steel or bronze for much cheaper.

Finishes

Our pieces are finished with an acid treatment or patina for an old world, rusted or Grecian look or a powder coating treatment for a traditional, contemporary or modern feel. The acid treatments and patinas are like copper in that the finishes change over time. No particular pattern or coloring can be guaranteed with the acid treatments of patinas as the finish is a process and is different each and every time it is applied to a product. We feel that this adds to the uniqueness of your product. Powder coating finishes, on the other hand, provide a finish that never changes over time and is consistent from product to product. Copper, stainless steel, bronze or a plethora of other finishes can be achieved through the powder coating process. Samples of the finishes may be requested.

Our Ordering Process

You will notice that we do not have an ordering system on our website. We intentionally do not have this because we feel that each of our pieces is so unique that they require considerable communication between us and the customer to create exactly what you are looking for. Please feel free to contact us any time by email or phone. We would love to hear from you and help you with your metal design needs.
