Roof Accessories
Our roof accessories include cupolas, dormer covers and chimney caps/covers. Typically, cupolas, dormer covers and chimney covers are finished with a rustic green or copper patina or can be finished with a powder coated color of your choice.
A cupola is a domed or squared structure sometimes referred to as a turret that is placed atop a roof. Originally, cupolas were used as ventilation points, lookouts or light sources on a rooftop. Today, cupolas are used architecturally as a visual affect. We design cupolas that are generally squared and feature a finial on top of the cupola with optional designs on the sides of the cupola. If the pitch and peak angles of your home are known, cupolas can be installed by yourself or with the help of a contractor.
A dormer is a structural accent on a roof that juts from the original roofline. We create a cover for the dormer that adds an additional accent to your roofline with a contrasting material (metal) and color.
A chimney cap, sometimes referred to as a chimney top or chimney pot, is used to extend the height of your chimney, keep birds or squirrels from nesting in your chimney, and to increase the flow of air in your chimney. Our chimney caps are constructed of steel and feature a finial or scrollwork on top as well as optional designs on the sides of the cap.
